A bit of advice please. Front offside hub.
I have removed everything and undone the wishbone bolt but can't move the knuckle down far enough to remove it from the arm. Does the wish bone need to be removed fully from the car to allow it to drop?.
Thanks

Any use.

Put the wishbone back just tighten the bolts no need to torque up then follow the movie

It's a mondeo but similar to the freelander2, note the longer the bar the easier, it's used one end at the ball joint the other at the sub frame at an angle to push the wishbone down once it has been loosened with the hammer. Don't hit the ball joint itself.

I have used this method with a metre crow bar it's easier than using a wishbone extractor tool I know I have one. Only difference rather than smacking the joint loose is I ground down a ball joint remover to fit to crack the joint off the hub and what a noise it made.
