Hi all,
I have recently had a new engine fitted but the old injectors were put back. I suspect that they may not have been fitted properly in terms of the setting of the adjuster screw. Apparently each cylinder is adjusted with he cam at the top and the adjuster screw is backed off half a turn. The mechanic who fitted them says he backed them off 1 or 1.5 turns. Does anyone know what the correct procedure is and also if they have been adjusted wrong will this cause increased diesel knock / pinking especially when cold.
Is it safe to drive with poorly adjusted injectors?
Hope someone can help - this is driving me mad!
Thanks in advace..
John
