i would suggest you take it offroad as it is learn to drive it find it and yours capabilities and then decide what modifications to go for..

1st on most peoples list is to go for different tyres if your on road biased tyres

then go on from there, but most importantly learn to use it as it is at the mo

Welcome to the community.

Yes, please be aware of security because if you're not careful it will get stolen, or parts will get pinched.

You're car is an excellent off roader as it is, but take a look around for all the available upgrades and what they do. This may be a good starting point:

After that you simply need to try the car out. There will usually be lots of repairs that need doing, you must get get the vehicle to 100% before you start modifying - it is the only sensible way.

My advice is to avoid Hill'n'Ditch at Mouldsworth, it is quite near to you but it is a sandstone quarry and the sand truly wrecks your car.

Best bet for you might be Cowm 4x4 at Rochdale, it's a truly massive site, there's easy bits and impossible bits, so you'll be able to test the water and watch the modified vehicles tackling the difficult stuff.

All in all it's a top hobby to get into.

Cheers :)

Welcome

First of all, cant aggree more with the Lads above , get to know your Landy before mucking about with it frist things are a good set of tyres, and a service, mend all the broken bits, find the local Landy Club, stay on here - by the way as a newbie you be welcomed and also take a load of **** from people on here, it just the inication so stick with it give as good as you get.

most of all enjoy the family of Landrover.

Hi there, although my LR is modified I drove a standard Disco on road tyres a while back and was plesantly surprised to see how capable an unmodified LR is. Spose there must be something in best 4x4xfar slogan.

Cheers
