Hi all

so I went out on Sunday for an offroading session with my mates but couldn’t be bothered to clean it after (i always do, i just do.). Yesterday I went to take it for a clean and it had a completely flat tyre. tyre got taken off.

on inspecting the tyre it seems there is loads of clay/mud between the tyre and the rim in one section, i have managed to get some out but there’s still loads in there not allowing the 'bead' (is it?) to seal against the inside of the rim.

How can I take that part of the tyre off, i take it just like a big cycle wheel?

Chars all.

Thats it, but how do i get it off, i havent done it before but have seen how its done wrong. do i just get 'lever' of some kind (wrapped in somthing to protect the paint i might add) x 2 i suppose and wiggle it out...or

take it to the garage and get it take off go to sister house which is closer, clean it, then get it put back on?

edit: the tyre hasnt come off yet, havent attempted it and it didnt get taken pulled off whenever it got mud stuck in it

yes, if you fancy shattering all your teeth and collecting bone fragments from the nearest tree..

much wiser option

:d

You could wash the rims off after laning

To be honest..if a tyre fitter has put the tyre on then i'd go get it done for free cos he should have bloody noticed and wiped the rim!!

Once the tyres on, unless you've got a knackered rim, mud aint gonna get it.....cos then the air could get out...innit!

i got the tyres and rims at billing. i def did it last weekend as they were perfect new and it was a good sunday :)

will take them to my local to sort and just be carefull nextime

cheers all

Storm i think he's saying he got mud stuck between the tyre and rim while offroading which has let all the air out. adies v8 the best way to stop this happening is to stop off roading. You wont get the tyre off without the proper equiment so take it to your local tyre people they'll take it of for you you can clean it and they will refit it and ballance it.

I take it that when the tyre was flat you took the wheel off not the tyre??
I would get it removed at a tyre fitters clean it then have it refitted.
Unless you have the tools for the job and you know what you are doing you will probably injure yourself.

afternoon all, soz mad day today.

I took the wheel off the landy (wheel and tyres are still intact in my garden) as i was worried about all that waight on a completely flat tyres. My dad was a tyre fitter back when he was in uni, but still, rather get it done properly then.
I like the highlift idea, but dont have one lol

Well thats a job for tomoz then.

cheers again all
