Disco 2 How to get in without whacking head?

I'm tall (6'1") but not a freak.
How do I get into the Disco 2 without whacking my head? I always imagined there would be plenty of space but with the high floor there's actually not that much clearance (obvious when you think about it).

Well im 6 2" and i dont bang my head is the seat adjusted up to high ?

How to:

1. When you go to get into your car or through any aperture less than 6'1", just duck - it's served me well ever since I became the size I've always been.

Maybe? Or maybe my almost complete lack of flexibility?

Anyway, the sun's out and I'm a bit bored at work after lunch so I may nip out into the car park to practice.

I'm 6'1" too and have never had a problem banging my head either!
Perhaps you are just leaping in with too much enthusiasm?
The only problem I have is if I try and get in after him indoors has been driving, then the seat is so close to the wheel I cannot get my legs in!

I'm definitely getting better and I think it's the ducking that's helping.
I seem to be able to get in now without banging my head or without banging my knee on the steering wheel but not both.

I'm making progress and it's definitely the ducking that helps.
I can now get in without banging my head or without banging my knee. I reckon I'll have cracked this within the month.

stee5ing wheel does adjust , i lift it up before i get out so as ready to get back in

Well done you, won' be long before you can take the stabilsers off the wheels as well!

(dont ever try and get in a normal vehicle until you've mastered the Discovery)

i dunno what ''ducking'' means but i'm 6.23 and 105kg but never had such problems, not with my head nor with the steering wheel... i presume because mine is LHD and i step in with my right side

Hardly ever bang my head getting into the drivers side but regularly bash my head on the passengers side - it drives me bonkers that this happens !!!!!!

Now I don't want to judge you by my own standards but...
Whenever I'm getting into a passenger side it's because I shouldn't be behind the wheel so coordination may be impaired.

I wear a crash hat at all times to avoid this happening, having followed the H&S risk assessment to the letter. Also the risk assessment suggested not using the vehicle would massively reduce the risk of any collisions.

Chop off head and carry it under arm.

I am 1.90m (6 foot 3 I think?) and 110kg, no problems wacking my head or with the steering wheel

Have you considered putting more air in the tyres? Or park on the pavement and get in from the road? Flatter shoes?

bit extreme that.

I think I may have mastered it now. Two whole days without whacking either head or knee.

You could make the roof so it raises and lowers on hydraulics.

I'm 6'5" and 22 stone - all pure muscle! I step up onto my slider and then sit down on the seat. Never banged my head.
