how to change front seat squab/back

does anyone have a guide on how to change the front seat squab and the seat back? does the entire seat need unbolting, or can it be done in place?

Just had a look on the Rave manual and it doesn't actually say! It shows how to remove the seats, which is a different procedure depending upon the model, 3 door, 5 door, electric seats etc.

Post back with what model disco and type of seats and I'll put an attachment up of the relevant page or pages.

Assuming its a Mk 1 Disco, the seat squab is easy and you don't need to take the seat out. Reach under the seat cushion & you'll find round the edges, some long straight strips. They hook onto the edge of the metal frame. Squash the foam a bit and push them towards the middle of the seat to unclip them. In the corners are some small flat metal clips. Push them off with a screwdriver. the clip under the seat back is a bit more of a fiddle. The seat squab should just lift off.
I don't know about the back but I think its just more of the same.
I found if you take the squab off, take the fabric off the foam and chuck it in the bath with some soap powder, you can watch clean water go black instantly. They dry off in the tumble dryer as well
