Hello all.
Just some quick pictures to show an easy way to change a headlight without removing the front bumper on a Hippo.
When I asked the same question, it was several answers, some said it could be done, other was not so optimistic. :)

I hope this could be usefull to any future member who is acctually able to use the search function...

1. Remove both the connectors at the back of the headlight.

2. Remove the 3 screws securing the wing to the car.

3. Remove the screws securing the front bumper at the top. (only one is visable on the picture.)

4. Remove the indicator bulb from the innerwheel arch, this is because you need all the space you can get. Remember not to touch the bulb. (Captain obvious to the rescue).

5. Unscrew the two top screws from the headlight itself.

6. The tricky part, to loosen the lower screw on the headlight. If you have small hands (No jokes people... ;) ), like me, it's rather easy to get to it, if you have large hands, get someone less fortunate to help..

It's the one on this picture. I think, I'll have to double check, that it is 8mm.

You should now be able to get the headlight out. It requires some light bending of the wing and bumper, but (mine at least) came out quite easy.

Time to complete the job: About 30 minutes. I had to remove the spots and nudgebar aswell.

I hope this could be of some use to other members. I need to remove the front bumper all together to fit foglights, but found all the screws to my VERY rusty, so soaked them in some WD40 and live to fight another day. The light change however worked out fine.

Have a great weekend people of Landyzone!

good job on the write up

easier way i found and faster is to undo all the front grill top bolts undo the top H/L bolts and then with a ring spanner undo the bottom one then with a bit of pressure slip the headlight past the grill section of bumper and then just slide out..... do reverse to fit

takes maybe 5 mins had my drivers H/L out a few times for fixing my major ABS faults
