Hi All

My steering wheel cruise control switch is playing up, I was thinking of removing it and giving it a good clean out with electrical contact cleaner as I think the kids may have split drinks into it while playing around the inside of the car during the summer, (it no longer has a positive sounding "click" like it used to, it does still work intermitdantly though.

Thing is I'm a bit unsure of how to get the switch out and I'm a bit unsure about the air bag going off in my face.

can anyone tell me the correct safe way of removing the switch please?

Thanks

Ray

According to the Haynes Manual there's only three bolts holding the switch assembly. But first you must remove the air bag that is a bit involved the's a whole page on air bags and how to remove them it's not difficult even so, best for you to get the manual and read up on it.

Thanks for that. read the manual and went for it, no problems at all very clear instructions, I left the battery disconnect for an hour just to be on the safe side!
