Im 19 (almost 20 now - sucks, lol!) and have a Range Rover P38a - 2.5DSE. I passed my driving test in July of last year and drove a Renault Clio until Feb of this year when I got my Range Rover (I blame my uncle - he has always had Range Rovers and right from very young I always wanted his). I would never look back, as people have said, people dont get in your way, your higher than other traffic etc etc, I just love my Landy!

Also mentioned is the fact girls love these machines, its totally true, i get random waves from girls as i drive through town, something that never really happened with the Clio, lol (not totally sure what it says about them - or me as a matter of fact thinking they are actually interested in me, rofl) :D

I'm 22, in the 4 years i've been driving I've been through more cars than I car to remember,
Skoda Flelicia,
BMW 316i
Rover 820 si
Pug 205 x2
Ford Escort

to name but a few, most of these ended up in the scrappy (not because i wrot them off but because they were just rot boxes with no chance of an MOT pass)

I now drive a 1992 Disco and I don't think I will ever let it go, and I've only had it a couple of months!

I rekon im the youngest, nearly 15! seems like ages before i can actually drive legally. Got a S3 and will probably be immaculate by the time i get my test.

I remember my dad had a S3 when i was about 6 and ive loved em ever since! He didnt have it long thou he said it was a heap of ****e. He didnt really want me to get this one but i bought it and had it delivered to my house. He couldnt say anything then!!!

He must have caught the bug again thou because hes just gone out and bought a 1991 defender 90!

Keep tellin him i'll swap it for my S3, he wont do it thou. Rekon im gonna have to kill him and get it that way!!!!!!

I'm 20 and got myself a 1984 land rover 90, can't say it really seems to be a hit with the girls (my gf takes the **** out of it - mind you she also takes the **** out of me!) but I love it. My mates seem to enjoy getting rides in it. Obviously with my severely limited budget it needs lots of different things doing to it, but I find that all part of the fun (with the possible exception of replacing the front bulkhead which will just be plain costly!)

Hi, My name is Ross. I have a SIIA. I'm only 21 so you're not alone! I've read some of the other messages and haveing done a fair bit of off-roading around Sailsbury Plain I would recommend it. I live up in Bradford now so won't be able to join you unless I'm staying at my Dad's (Bristol) but hey, put some pic's up when you've been.

I'm 37, soon to be wife 28, 2 horses, 2 dogs, 3 cats, 30 (if they haven't multiplied) fish. on 3rd landy, mortgage, several loans, credit cards, same old job, unlucky at lottery, been rained on several times, watch too much telly, eat too much, drink too much, if i could get it I would smoke too much, still alive but worried about it. I am happy with my landrover tho!

Oy bloke1968, im coming down to Poole in August, and ive got earmarked the nearby places: monkeyland or world???, the beaulieau motor museum and the Haynes one. Any of em any good????
And is there anywhere of note i should remember, interesting places?

Beaulieu is good, if its the 4x4 day. Haven't been to Monkey world, don't like em. Tank museum is good fun. Sammy Miller museum is good if you like bikes. errrrr, we've got pubs n clubs, alot of harbour with boats!, corfe castle is good, swanage railway is cool. There is loads, whole place is here cos of tourists. Something for everyone really. Not much off roading but a nice ford near morten (lawrence of arabia home is there) and local club has meets (but they are a bit weird). My other half has ask me to say (under much pain) that i'm happy with her as well as the landrover!
