How much to spend on a 90?!

Hi guys, got a budget of 3000 what condition defender 90 can i expect for this price? 200 or 300 not bothered, cheers
 
you could get one for 2k and spend the 1k getting in to shape. Then you know what youve got!
also depends what you want 200tdi, 300tdi or a td5?
 
Yes you can buy a 200tdi 90 within that budget and maybe a bad 300tdi but TD5?? I would like to see that
And as already stated why buy a bad car and spent on it, why not spend the extra and buy the best you can afford!!!
 
As above, at first my budget was the same as yours, but found i needed to save a little more, i ended up pushing my budget to 4k and had £1000 to spend on it.
I ended up spending all of it and a little more to get something that was solid! (hopefully)
The toys will have to come at a later date!
 
I had a budget of 4k.....shopped till I dropped and finally spent £5,500 as it was the one I really wanted :) . . TD5 1999 with I'm guessing a lot of optional extras when it came off the production line.
Then I took it for a full service and made a silly mistake of saying to the guy, any issues go ahead and fix them......so full service and repairs bill came to . . . . . £1,800 ...OUCH !!!

But to be fair I was over the top fussy about having it ready for the winter months ahead and I did have a new wing, headlight surrounds and the panels sprayed to match up with the Epsom Green....so yes, not all was needed but I seem to have developed OCD with my Landy...... and as we speak she is in for a new 2007 rear door with new glass and breaklight, then I must back off, the good landy .. I mean Lady of the house is starting to ask the how much questions? lol...

best you get in befor the winter starts then as all 4x4 will go up in price
imo i think you will get a ratty 300 tdi for 3k i think you need to be up in the 5k mark and if you want a csw 10k will do it
