Hi boys and girls, i drove past my local BP garage today in Dover, Kent, where i get my LPG from only to see 72.9p per litre !!!!! This must be the most expensive in the uk ????
Petrol in same garage is £1.20 per litre. Diesel is £1.25 per litre.
I think i should move!!!

Some thing for you guys to consider .....Anyone on here use "Oil fired Central Heating" ????

Coz if you do ... your tank will be filled with "35 Second Oil" which in another language is niy on "diesel Fuel"

Used to run my Disco 200TDi on it fer ages (Current "average" price is around 50p to 60p per litre)

To answer the questions BEFORE they are asked

a. NO it aint "Coloured"

b. "Technically" YES You have paid the Tax on it when you purchased it ( it has NEVER said anything in the Suppliers contracts about it being "SOLELY" USED for "HEATING" however it DOES state that "it MUST be used for "Domestic Purposes"....

NICE BIG HOLE for users to climb thru there isn't there ?????

I have lost count of the times I have "Converted" an Oil system to either Mains Gas or LPG & been asked to "GET RID OF" that waste Oil (usually around the 1000 Litre mark)

You'll see all these "Waste Oil companies" truckin around emptying defuntced tanks & "Disposing" of the watse Oil .....What the hell do you think they're running their Tankers on ???? Sure aint "Pump" diesel ....

Arnt vosa getting **** hot on this??

They aint even CLOSE Juicy ....Unless they change the law to make it "Illegal" to use in a motor vehicle then their out in the cold mate ....

You bought it LEGALLY you paid for it LEGALLY & your using it "Within the prameters & scope of the supply" i.e. it was supplied to you as FUEL & you are using it as such !!

so you 60 diesel 40kerosene??

wont it bugger the injection pump through lack of lubrication?

I was under the impression that 'oil fired central heating' oil was kerosene not diesel:confused:

Gratch ...Correct (sort of) ..most "Small" Oil boilers use Kerosene (up to about 65 KW) above that Kerosene is "To Fluid" (i.e. To "Thin") to use, the Oil nozzels are far too Large to provide a fine enough spray into the heat exchanger for a "Decent" firing pattern.

Roughly 65KW & over use 35 Second Oil ..(which is "Diesel" to you & me)

If I'm goin over Yorks way my quickest route is over Trough of Bowland & out north of Leeds the amount of Farm houses & Farms that have abandoned Oil tanks behind em is HUGE

& the "Owners" PAY YOU TO TAKE IT AWAY !!!!!!

**** Note to self Start a waste Oil business tomorrow morning first thing *****

rubbish, have another read - it may be used as a fuel for domestic usage but not within a motorized vehicle

if it were legal every fooker would be running round with a tankful at 40p a litre, or whatever it is these days
