EGR blanking mod done today.

Thought I'd have a week driving with that, compare, make sure no dramas and then put on the Synergy 2 box.

Regards,

Mark

05 auto td4 no mods just had 120k service
292 miles.
52.55L brim to brim
11.56 gallons
25.25 mpg

Mix of daily short runs and a couple of longer mway jaunts with a 50 mile tow of a 4 wheel 1000kg trailer.

Undecided if it's good or bad ?

I have an alisport EGR kit and new synergy sat here waiting for me to fit...

EGR fitted last wkend. Have done 322 miles so far this week and still showing 1/4 tank left. But more longer motorway runs this time around.

Synergy box Sunday if I get half a chance...

300 miles mixed motorway and A roads followed by done town and general running.

36.5 MPG - brim to brim test

Synergy 2a on Eco mode
EGR bypass

I didn't mean 300 miles to a tank - I just did a 300 mike trip.

I get about 440 to a tank but it's not a good guide as I have never gone from brim to empty and gauges are never accurate.

Hi all,

It just keeps getting better.........

If you read my threads I've done all the mods and reported very nice mpg. Anyways, its just got better. With two adjustments to the norm.

I filled up with V Power @ £1.549 and had two new front tyres Pirelli Scorpion, all fours tyres with 28psi. Did 200 miles with three people on board - mixed city / motorway. Didn't hammer it - just 80's when i could.

I got a massive 42 mpg!

Larger diameter tyres should always be fitted to the rear (unless you're running with the prop shaft off) or you'll knacker the IRD, VCU or Diff.

I run mine at 31 all round.

Im now getting about 480-530 a tank, this tank wont be as good as i sat at Vmax for a good few miles during the week coming home in the early hours of the morning.

Still have the bmw upgrade to do and check if my MAF is fecked.

I can't believe that mileage per tank - I wouldn't like to be in the queue behind you ;-)

Last summer i managed 585 miles from 1 tank, 63 litres to fill back up.
60 mph on the motorway sitting in lane 1, moving out to overtake then moving back in.

Cant stand mlm's and im not one of those 40mph on country road folks.

Us young students need to watch our cash somehow. ;)

Just done my usual run from Aberdeen to Bosnia i Hercegovina - 1850miles in 3 days.
Once again tried for the run from Aberdeen to Dover on one tankful and failed. :(
Grossly overloaded with a roof-box as usual.
Running late didn't help. Cruise control set at 70mph.
Best I could do was Remich in Luxembourg to Liezen in Austria - 514 miles -needed 63.2 litres (13.876 g) to fill up to brim - that's 37.04 mpg.
Very disappointed.
Cruise control in Germany/Austria set at 115kph = 72 mph.

Must try harder on the way home.

Singvogel

Just done a brim to brim and got 38.4 - happy with that - mixed driving -Welsh A roads, B Roads, Town and some motorway.

I have Td4 manual 06 plate, the other night I travelled from home (Durham) to Worsley Manchester 265 miles round journey I left home 6.00pm back home 11.00 pm speed average 65-70mph and weather was very bad heavy rain and fog nearly all motorway and I worked out that I'd used £45 worth diesel £1.43 a litre and I am very happy with that.

That's about 37.5 miles per Gallon - that's kind of ok but it cannot be accurate if you use your fuel gauge - best to do a brim to brim test.
