how many days coolant and oil leak free have you been ?

And reset again! Bloody O rings. They're weeping again this weekend, I fear it maybe something more serious....

Having done mine for the 2nd time I found it far easier removing the instrument binnacal and removing the air vent it gave so much more access and cuts out all that laying upside down and fiddling blind under the dash

That's how I do mine too. I think problem maybe that the threads in the aluminium clamp may be a bit tired. There was a bit of play when I put the screw back in. I did it up pretty tight too.

Maybe they didn't seat properly. I dunno!

Changed again yesterday. Jury is still out if it's fixed it. Some came out straight away first time I fired it up.... but it seems to have stopped now.
What does that mean? If it isn't fixed I'll be looking in to doing the Audi mod I think. I've had enough of this!

Mine threw it's coolant out over the M1 on Friday night on the way back from London. Hose to heater split......seems either my hoses are tired or I have pressure back in the system....oh joy.

I've let the doozel fanclub down ... I have a leak!

Not sure where from yet. Somewhere at the front! Seems to be above the sump gasket level unless it is blowing upwards. I'm fearful it might be the crank seal.:eek: Need to get the fan and other stuff out and have a look. :(

New motor 4k Miles into into it.
Nearly no engine oil leaks (rear crank seal area damp not fresh I don't think)
No coolant loss.
No diff leaks
No transferbox leaks.
No diesel leaks.
Almost spot on then we come to the gear box that leaks for fun and it's still leaking so I guess it's got oil in it.

Where's the gearbox leaking from?

Well, a while back I reported that I have a small misfire, but it comes & goes and always at low (pulling away) rpm.

I did think for a while that it was a small exhaust leak, causing consternation with the O2 sensor.

However, I found it, the sneaky Pete git o_O

Bloody throttle body is back to it's old tricks of dripping, allowing the coolant to collect onto three leads on the left bank, the heat builds up and steam would appear to be the main culprit, condensing onto the inside of the cap. Plug gets all nae happy and I get a hesitation.
I don't have time to take it all apart & replace gaskets & whatnot, so it's a bottle of K Seal I'm afraid. Got a long journey Wed morning, over 200 miles so not fancying getting caught in Glasgow traffic with pulling away hesitations and losing coolant an orl

Mind you, it's taken over 1000 miles to lose half a litre so I'm not too worried. I should have opened the bonnet sooner and discovered the leak sooner, but George is pretty good in most aspects. I do have an oil leak and I suspect it's the rear crank seal, but it'll have to wait a bit. Was thinking on popping in some of that stuff that "revives" hard oil seals... Anyone got anything to say about it? Good, bad, indifferent?
