I'm back! It is a 11mm spanner and I woz using a ring spanner. I have about as much HOPE of gettin a socket in the gap as I have of shaggin Bob HOPE. It won't fit cos me 'eggs haust' is in the wayyyyyyyy. I decided I either:
A) need to take the first section of the exhaust orf.
or
B) Git meself a decent ratchet ring spanner.
I could undo it with a socket IF I get the exhaust out the way but its easier with a ring spanner cos' I have jammed a bit of hose over the bleed screw so I can git it all in a jar and not all over me face.
I went for a drive instead.

It can be done, because I have done it with the exhaust in place with a socket and an extension bar, and a wobbly come to think of it.

Also, you can do it from the top if you get a long enough extension bar(s) or have long arms, or lie on the wings and read in. Watch the LIVE on the starter, disconnect battery if you don't trust yourself.

I can see the bleed screw when I look thru the top of the engine but I have'nt the tools to get to it that way. Tis a long way down! I did disconnect the battery before I started. If I'd had an 11mm ratchet ring spanner I reckon I could have done it from underneath. Was too fidly tryin to take it off and on all the time to turn the screw to then only move it a millimeter. Oh yeah! It did move so thass a good sign! Whassa wobbly?

Ahh, yeah I got one of them. Will probably have another go at it 2morro. Should be 3rd time lucky. 'How long will it take me..' is gonna be a very long thread me thinks! Thank you for your help Disco.

i dint show yu my "etchings" coz i dint have any - maybe next time - just call me "Bob Hope":D

this is the pic of the "

a ratchet set of ring spanners aint too expensive. summtimes yu just have to turn things a bit at a time - its the only way!

in the words of sumone close to me on Sunday - "go fur it- easy peasy!":D

yu got a torch aint ya? - yu shudnt need to remove it - just loosen it then pump the peddle if yu got an "eazybleed" - else yu need a mate.

Skwillion times I've spent longer wondering how to do a job without removing another unrelated part than it would've taken me to remove the part that was in the way, service it, do the feckin job, repaint the offending part, build an extension........ok, I'm getting carried away.

Take yer eggsauced off & gerron with it! Oh, & invest in a set of ratchets, got some recently & cos I've already the matching non ratchets they're the mutts. Ratchet on one side, non ratchet on the other. Makes a lot of tedious twisting a feck sight easier!

Thank you Marcus.. will get on with it! Idon't have an easybleed or anyone here to help. Guess thass gonna make it a pain in the arse?
