Think it's the position of them makes em illegal on the highway.
They're NOT an MOT fail cos they're not illegal to have.
So every HGV that has a set of spots on there roof is braking the law :scratching_chin:
There not an MOT fail cos auxilary lights arn't testable items.

Normal plod may not but traffic willNo probs. The thing is, even if you DO obey all the rules - half the MOT testers and half the police won't know what is OK and what isn't! Someone on another board carries around a print out of the regs to shut them up

i was always under the impression if they were wired direct to main beam that was illegal , looks like i have to stand corrected

No point in having fogson a roof Bar, cos they need to go low on road. The beam patern is different to spots or headlights.

Exackerly I wanted a wide beam pattern especially for drivin thro woods so I get a more flood lit effect. Dont need high power spots for long distance
