Was the question i asked my self.....
The drivers door doesn't lock on my landy, so i park it up close to the side of the house so it cant be opened from the out side, then i climb out through the passenger door and lock it.
So, how would i steal my own motor? Well i could just un-zip the canvas and go through the back, or i could just slide the window forward, stick my arm through the window and unlock the door.
I think it's time for me to invest in some sort of security before its to late.
Have any of you guys had ago at stealing your own landy just to see how easy it would be?

Rig a sawn off shotgun into the driver footwell and connect the clutch pedal to the trigger. And line the roof with poly sheet to catch the mess that would follow. If late one night you hear a muffled bang, get a few large bin liners and a saw, and some nylon sponges and rubber gloves, some lighter fuel and a shovel.

Wear rubber gloves, take scumbag and saw into foot long chunks. Place in bin liners. Use sponges to clean down surfaces. Take lighter fuel and filled bags to the middle of nowhere woodland is best. If in essex epping forrest is a favourite. Somewhere that will be warm and sheltered. Dump the contents of bin bags in the open do not bury them. Insects will reduce the bits down to nothing in literally days. If the scumbag was teenage maybe even the bones will go. Now drive off, and stop somewhere secluded and set light to the gloves bin bags and sponges thereby removing any fingerprints. Throw the saw in the sea as it will rust down very quickly, along with your shoes to remove identification from crime scene footprints, and your done. If in the unlikely event you get hauled in - DNA found was due to giving a hitchhiker a lift. You shook his hand.

Or yeah you could buy a disc lock £30.00 ish, cheap mobile phone £15.00 hide it somewhere (police can track a passive mobile phone signal rememeber to put it on silent), isolator switch though I would assume most thieves are wise to where to look by now. Padlock a cut metal block under the clutch pedal. Knock the diff lock lever into neutral to buy you time. You'll hear it rev up while they work out wtf is wrong. Put a cap over the exhaust pipe. In the dark they wont think to check. Get a magnetic rape alarm and have a hook on the wall of your house. Put the rape alarm under the bonnet. Fishing line to the rape alarm pin. As they pull away the pin pulls out very loud wailing noise and they dont know where to look to switch it off. Park other cars in front of yours. Set a disconnector on the lighting system, so that they cant switch on lights or indicators. Always a favourite police puller that. So when they get stopped things wont add up

but my favourite is the gun. Final.

buy a pitbull terrier with AIDS. that should do the trick
Im way ahead of you dude....all though he aint got the Aid's or owt ;)

.

You've given this quite a bit of thought haven't you mate :eek::eek: :mil10:
May I suggest making friends with a man who owns a pig farm, saves people walking their dogs and finding bits of scumbag;) :violent:

I am going to be buying some pigs as I no longer live near Epping Forrest, moved to Cornwall a few years ago and want to start living The Good Life. Cheers for the tip :suspicious:

As I have a disklok:

It would have to be a petrol driven angle grinder with a steel cutting disc, a lot of noise and risk of capture.
Plus the standard steeling lock and immob to overcome...

Would a disklok stop the Landy being loaded onto a flatbed though, as this was the means used to steal two 90's in our village?

Might be a pain having to slip under the car, but how about a loop of re'bar set into the drive and then a loop of chain round the axle? Sure they can get through it if they really want to, but then security is always about time and inconvienence, rather than making something impossible, cause there's always a way round if you can be bothered and have enough undisturbed time.

hope you had your chance to read what i put earlier regarding this .thought it a good idea to remove it in case some littlel angel decided to read it and try it for themselves ..o well had your chance

has anyone ever thought about using those yellow clamp triangles ?

and use motorbike security chains? there are some pretty good ones in the market, that to break it takes quite a lot of time and effort!

Wrong-liquid nitrogen and hammer =seconds

Ok.. but not every thief is prepared with liquid nitrogen.... and the hammer thing is only the reason why you shouldnt leave a chain on the floor, as possible, chain the bike in a way that the chain is up in the air... that way nothing to hammer the chain against.. :)

and...I believe its the Almax chains that resist a little to this technique..
