How far in do you push the LT230 front output shaft seal?

Plenty of walkthroughs on how to replace the front output shaft seal. None (that I can find) mention the depth to which the seal should be driven into the box. I'm guessing that means you drive it all the way in until it seats, but I really don't want to find out the hard way that I'm wrong! Can anyone confirm?

its not critical as long as its not flush with the outside edge or pushed right back till it touches bearing,5mm in its not bad

Great - thankyou very much. Figured I'd best check rather than cause an oil leak later!
