Ive just test driven a 4.4 lpg l322 and was mightily impressed When I asked the bloke to show me the EAS working I couldn't see anything happening. The doors were open do they need to be shut to operate it. ? (My p38's on springs so never had an issue with it or seen it working.)

Correct, all the doors / bonnet too (I think) need to be shut for it to adjust between height settings.
Between access mode and off road mode there's about approx 4" difference, you can tell the difference easily by looking at the Gap between the top of the tyre and wheel arch's.
HTH.

Don't worry, it won't work for long, doors open or shut:rolleyes:

I'd be worried about buying a Rangie from someone who doesn't know to close the doors to get the suspension working. It reminds me of when I was looking for mine and almost every one I found in a second hand dealer was on it's bump stops and had a flat battery.
"No problem mate, I'll just stick the booster pack on it." Straight onto the battery, sparks flying and they wondered why I was already driving off their lot.

Thanks guys, the bloke was selling it from his garage for a mate, he wasn't familiar with it. As for coils on mine it came that way. I needed a big car for towing and a mate of mine had a p38 for peanuts. I've run it for 2 years and not spent much on it so I thought I'd try a L322. As I said I was impressed with the performance and overall condition, its done less than average miles and just had new discs and pads all round, new bushes and new front suspension (yes I know the back is probably due) so i think I'll make an offer and see how we go.

Keep some cash back for a new gearbox, PCV valve and maybe VANOS:rolleyes:

Well, I got it ! 7.5k. I went back and did a deal before someone else was due to view it. Half an hour later the guy rang me back and told me the other bloke insisted he ring me and offered 8k ! Who said these cars don't appreciate. ps its a 2002 l322 v8 vogue in black with almond leather interior and lpg. I think I'm going to enjoy this (While it lasts :d )
