How do you remove oil from tarmac???

Any idea folks.
Inthis particular case it's jack oil, but knowing these landys leek oil like we leak tears of frustration with them, i wondered how you all sorted these stains out?

know that on brick paving hammerite thinners works a treat but dont know if it will not desolve tarmac or not :rolleyes:;)
 
found some cheap 99p shop bike cleaner works well on stains, but anything that washes oil of your hands can be used on oil in/on tarmac.

as said earlier, oil can melt the dam tarmac, so praps try cat litter first, well trod in & a nice pile of the cat litter on top of stain overnight to do its best.

I only have concrete to clean, so its easier, just cleaner, brush in, then jet wash it out again, but it`ll clean just one area, so I do the complete parking bay....
( I have time on my hands you see)..lol
 
As mentioned soap powder is good, leave to soak up the oil then scrub off with water
Cat litter also very good
 
cheers guys.
this is jack oil rather than engine oil at the moment. not sure if that makes a difference but will try a few of these methods on different marks and see what comes up best.
