Hello,

Nothing too serious here, just something which I was shown once, but can not reproduce myself. I am well aware that you can do a bit of footwork with a diesel engine and it will crawl without stalling. My 1986 90 with 2.5 N/A has done it in the past but I can't get it to do it again. What do I need to do to make it crawl without the accelerator beeing pressed?

Thanks in advance

You need to make sure that the tickover is definitely controlled by the slow running lever (that lerans on the fuel inlet pipe) and NOT by taking up slack in the throttle cable.

The throttle cable MUST have slack when your foot is off.
