Hi each.
Here we go.
Just changed the head gasket on my old 2000 1.8 freelander. (not as bad as i thought).
BUT what the f*** now??
After everything had been put back together, wired and plumbed up.
i have no spark, and no power to the fuel pump. had a quick look round nothing obvious. All other electrics are ok, all the fuses that i can find are ok, and the immobiliser seems to be turning on and off in the normal way.

Any ideas?

fuel cut off switch, crankshaft sensor/wiring, dodgy ignition switch, dodgy ignition relay

Have a look a the fuel pump relay. Its located next to the fuse box in the engine compartment. Its a sod to get out but you might find one of the terminals has corrision or the spade connectors are loose. This caused starting probs on my F/Lander once checked and tightened immediate start
