It used to be popular with Series ones, in the days when they were commonly used as daily transport. But, as has been said, needs to be done properly if it is to look right.

more pics! underneath.. how's it braced.. where have you mounted everything else, wires and all that.

Cos that looks bloody amazing

If someone were to offer a service where they did that to the front end, I can imagine it would be quite a money spinner.

I for one would seriously consider getting it done.

I had a fibreglass one on my mini that was held on with bonnet pins, came right off - made working on it so much easier! And was pretty cool too! I was gonna upgrade to a carbon fibre one with weave showing but sold it before I got that far into it!

Lots of people in the hot ridding scene flip front their motors. It's especially common on sit up and beg ford pops.

Think id want some bonnet pins or something holding the bonnet down though. That looks like its a couple of ratchet strap mechanisms bolted to it.

Crack on then, how much:confused::confused:;);)

:p do it yourself lazy

If I was doing it I'd brace the slam panel to take the extra weight, add braces in the wings, make the hinges connect to a brace running along the base of the slam panel for strength, you can see he's used a latch style system on the sides where the base of the footwell is so just need to get some of them and do some cutting to fit.

The radiator and cooler would be fitted to the slam panel IIRC so if thats the case you may need to mod them to sit in a separate bracket, wiring would need to be lengthened so you could run it along the chassis rail instead of the wing but other than that cant see any other problems.

and all the extra weight with a winch bumper and winch on the front... you'd need some seriously heavy duty springs i'd imagine!

Unless you went fibreglass - which ya gonna smash to bits first time you do some moderately adventurous off roading... cool thing to have on mini's/cars etc but seems a bit pointless on a working 4x4 imho
