how common is whining rear axels on 130 ??

as I described in an other thread , I´ve got an anoying whine from my 2005 130
sounds as if it´s from the front end/under driver , but after changing :turbo,front diff , transfer and main gear box without result , I´m now thinking about the rar axel , someone told me that it´s not unsusuall with fecked rear axel/diffs.
any ideas , comments ?? it has done approx 150 000km

havent you tried running it in diff lock with each prop removed in turn to see if its front or back or middle

try rear then ,whose idea was swapping all those units as a diagnostic tool

actually , mostly professionals , the transfer from a well known transmission shop
turbo from a LR-dealer shop, main box my self in desperation , no one said that they put a
ordinary rover axle from 2002 instead of the only real axel, the salisbury unit , and as it looks , the sound has fooled all of us , it really sounds as if it´s from the front end

professionals would remove t/box sump checked gear box oil to see if its ok and tried with props off in turn ,does whine get worse better on over run or on power left or right hand corners

the mecanic at the lr-dealer is an enlishman so i thought ...
it changes at once when you touch the throttle , worst when driving around 55-70mph/90-100km/h
no whine when decluthing (?) .

how do you mean changes when you touch the throttle ,presumably its ok when reved in neutral

yupp , but I also ment , that the slightest touch of the throttle when doing around 55-70 will change the whine at once , i would think(not being a mechanic) , that something very small and fast revving is faulty
