My horn stopped working out of the blue a few months back. I used my multimeter to determine that there is no power getting to the horn. So I went out and bought a new horn/indicator switch (£20) with the intention of swapping it out. After swapping it out I still cant get the horn working!

These are the steps I tried -

Check power at horn when pushing the button = Nothing.
Replace swith = Nothing.
Run a live 12v to the horn = horn works.
Check fuse = Fuse is fine.
Run 12v to the wire that the switch plugs into = Horn sounds

So I know the earth connection to the horn is fine. I know that the wire from the switch all they way to the horn works but I cant get the switch to sound the horn. Other than me wiring in a new push button switch someone on the dash with its own 12v feed is there anything else that anyone can recommend? I guess there should be 12v going to the horn button which is then linked to the horn when the button is pushed. Does anyone know the fuse for that? Also worth noting that my headlight flasher also does not work but main beam does.

Thanks

Have you checked the switch by putting a live feed into it or only the wiring to the horn?

I've had problems with new patent switches before (dip/main beam) so I wouldn't assume it's good because it's new

So it seems that mybe my military 110 doesn't have a standard fuse box layout doh! I just went out and pulled every fuse to check and found one blown. I've now replaced it and it's all working. That's good to know in future.
