Yeah but I also find that having these centers here they are random in their testing!!!

I went with a guy to get his RRC tested in Leuven, failed on mud flaps(compulsory on light freight!!) and the side exit exhaust and rust on the rear cross member, went back later that afternoon with a different tester all passed no probs at all, the mech things are automated just the visual things the guy had a problem with.

We deem it to be the closest thing to a lottery win getting the Landy through the Autokeuring each year :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Speaking of which 7days to go

One good thing about the French system is that the tests are done by testing stations with no axe to grind, not by garages looking for repair work.
Also I have found that things that are noted as the equivalent of the UK "advisory" may be checked at the next test, and considered a failure if not rectified. Our Discovery had a note that the chassis number could not be seen. On the next test I was made to clean off the chassis so the number could be read before the Tester would pass it.

I've got the same, they seem VERY keen on being able to identify the vehicle.

I've checked in all the normal places - outside chassis rail in front of front axle; rear outrigger just in front of rear axle - but can't find it anywhere so I'm going to get the local garage to do it again.
