Hi
Im new to the forum but hoping to get some advice.

I performed a basic oil chnage on our car yesterday (2000 P38 4.6) and ever since there is a misfire when running on petrol. When the car switches over to LPG there is no problem. It started as soon as the oil chnage finished but what can it be.......i didnt disturb anything. New oil, oil filter and air filter, thats it???

normally we would suggest maf or fuel pump/fuel pressure.
when did fuel filter last get changed

Fuel filter was 1 year and 12K ago from memory.

It just seems a bit strange it went immediately after the oil chnage i.e from the first time I fired it up although filter/pump sounds sensible given its fine on gas.

Yer LPG.............. Sequential or single point ?????

I'm thinkin you've disturbed the MAF when changin the air filter its the only thing that COULD effect the "Running" of the engine........ V8's tend to run "rich..Ish" on LPG anyhow

You did state you'd changed the AIR FILTER in yer post ...

Its a new sequential LPG system.

Does disturbing a MAF mean I should have a wiggle of the [pipes I moved when I did the filter or are they that brittle/sensitive I might have broken it?? I wasnt heavy handed with anything apart from the oil filter which damn well deserved it!!!!

Definately a fueling issue; is air filter OEM or after-market, seated/sealed properley, did you do clamps back up on pipes?

Air filter was aftermarket but in fairness so was the dirty one I took out. Ill defo check the seals though on the airbox. Filter was seated properly.

Seals airbox and pipe clamps. OEM filters are naturally better might be that too tho. I always use OEM filters for air/oil/fuel on our Range and Freelander, and all the bikes!

Hopefully check that lot and be ok!
