What is the point of the holes i the B pillar (the big oval ones, on the inside of the car)? All they seem to do is allow a draft from the outside, from what I presume is a drain hole on the bottom of the pillar.

If they drain hole is actually an unintended rotten rust hole, please let me know...

If its the ones I think you mean, they are probably access holes.

I assumed they were to feed in looms/nuts/bolts in build....?

No draft on mine, so I suspect the 'vent' at the bottom is yours rusted out or mine blocked with rust and mud..... ;-)

Yeah, I have these holes on both sides under the pillars. Not outside the bounds of possibility that I have rusty holes on both sides, hard to know what was there when the car was built and what has 'evolved' over the last twenty years and 170,000 miles.

Access holes for hinge bolts and striker plate. I used them to fish wires through for central locking as well.
I'm fairly sure( but not positive) that 'hole' is what i used underneath to get the cables into the Piller itself.
Can go check if you want?

Just had a look at mine and i did indeed run conduit up through that hole for central locking cables.
My side frames were new and i didn't drill those holes so they must be standard and take grommets/bungs as said.
