Airfilter mod

I have done the defender td5 Air filter modification where you take the fan out and dremel the pipe work inside which went well and all done.

Question is, where you take the fan out it leaves 6 holes where the clips were. The top holes are fine as they are inside the airbox. But the bottom 3 small holes go straight to the outside. What do you do with the holes? Is it OK to leave as is? Or do you block them up somehow?

You need to fill in the holes - last thing you'd want is water getting in to the air filter and :. the engine.

What did you fill with?

The bottom holes seem to go to the metal base of the air box.

What's the air filter box made off?

All done I've filled the holes up to be om the safe side. To stop water entering. . I thought the metal plate the Airbox goes onto would have covered it. When I took it out I saw it didn't.
