After a sudden rush of blood to the head, I am now the "custodian"
of a Series 3 Lightweight 2.25 petrol.
Just in the process of getting it thoroughly checked out and confirmed as safe and fully functional - it was when I got it, but I'm a fussy bugger when it comes to my safety and my passengers
A set of Wolf wheels with the Cooper Discoverer STT's have gone on in 235/85/16 and in the near future a conversion of the seat belts to inertia type.
The brakes needed a good seeing to and the front leave springs replacing.
Otherwise everything else is good including the chassis - drove very nice with little steering play, a smooth gearbox and solid engine.
So come the weekend, it'll be playtime
I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions as time goes on though.
