hi all new here not sure if i should post ere but plz correct me,....ive got a d2 td5 and want rid of the hk stereo and want to fit a ipod ready stereo,however id like to keep use of all the speakers as there ok,but ive got the amp and i fear that its guna be a nighmare...any idears folk,thanks
 
im weighing up pros n cons of changing it at the mo sorry,but i will keep u in mind if i do sell it.


will i be able to keep all speakers working throught aftermarket one?? as i believe theres 12 speakers in all.

Depends on the number of loudspeaker outputs your existing systems amp has, normal head units have four outputs plus a preout or two to supply any additional amp/s.
 
im going to keep stereo get a adapter that fits in behind stereo full ipod control just loose the cd changer,good quality then no fm rubbish and get to hide the ipod and keep steering controls,only thing is the price £50ish :(
 
Most after market heads have a pre out and you can get all the wiring harnesses off of e-bay which is much cheaper then halfords. It's not too hard just match the harness to your disco as Td5s have the BMW round pin iso connectors.
