Hill Decent wires broken can i?.........

Hi all my freelander HDC wires have broken away from the connector and the connector is pretty chewed up im wondering can i wire them upto a dash switch where i have a black say to a recirculation switch i can get off ebay to control the on/off for the HD or is there a repair kit with new connector? i quite fancy a switch on the dash anyone see any problems or has anyone done this?

It's just an on/off latch type switch (push and stays on, push again and stays off) so as long as your new switch does the same, then you'll be ok. Extend the wires to where you want the new switch to go. hdc switches can be bought as replacements. Would be easier to replace it where it is.
