Hill decent switch

I removed HDC switch and gave it a good spray with switch contact fluid. When switched on I have a solid green HDC light which flashes once 6mph is exceeded in first gear or when selecting another gear, presumably this means the HDC is working correctly
Unfortunately I haven't a steep enough slope nearby to see if the HDC works as it should

It would be interesting to know how often Freelander drivers have used the HDC when decending a steep slope

Still interested to know who has actually used HDC

Used it many times, usually with a trailer on, loaded with 700 to 800 kgs of olives, coming down a steep unmade track from our olive grove. Works a treat!

Tried it on my fl2 on a steep slope with some snow on it, very strange sensation it's very hard to keep your feet off the pedals, my reactions kept telling me to brake.

Used it lots of times - especially good for uneven surfaces on a slope...

I tried mine again using the good info on here and all is well. I am looking forward to trying it on a snow covered slope.
