Ok, when im in low box the throttle is exremely responsive to the point of when i go over a speed bump it will jerk me forward. When im in high box it takes a lot of throttle to rev. So ive plugged my nanocom in and it says in in low when im actually in high and high when im in low. I believe there is a switch on the tbox to tell the ecu. How can i resolve this issue and were is the switch exactly. Thanks rob.

it's a well known nanocom glitch to read this particular switch the other way around, the switch is OK cos the management addapts(increases) fueling to suit the greater torque demand when you select low, that's how it works

So how is it driveable in low as its very hard to use the throttle smoothly. I thought it was more to do with how the throttle pedal itself responds, not fueling?

the throttle resonse and fueling are part of the same management i said fueling to be more simple but in reality it's switched to different fuel map for low but your question was about the nanocom reading and switch and i answered you for that i was not trying to explain the whole management cos it's a long and complicated story:rolleyes:

ok thanks for the explanation.

i'll show you but better leave it alone as long as nanocom reads it opening and closing cos you can't do anything with it, it's a simple swict which closes a circuit so even if you get to it what do you think you can do? eventually do you want get smart and bridge it's plug to get better response in high with the low fueling?... i strongly recommend you to not do that cos you might cook your engine

here is the descriptipon and you have the pic attached
High/low detect switch
A high/low detect switch is fitted in the front output housing and connects to earth when low is selected. The switch is
connected to the engine ECM, the SLABS ECU and the EAT ECU. The purpose of the switch is to enable selection
of the hill descent feature and to modify the engine fuelling and automatic gearbox gearshift maps stored within the
respective ECM's and ECU's.
