Personally I think the Series III is the iconic Land Rover even though I drive a TD5. However, despite how much I like the Series III, I cannot find anyway to like this

its just a defender tdci station wagon with a S3 grill and shiny headlight surrounds. cant see anything to make it particularly hideous. and the retro grill shape is definitely an improvement on the big boring ugly slatted defender grills. I like the wheels too.

It has been said that one of the reasons we can't get Defenders over here in the States is that there are no airbags. This looks like it could have them.

i like it,
ok, made to be posh not muddy, but then thats what rangies are now and have been fer years.
I think its a good tactical move to entice the upsnots from rangies into iconic motoring, but with lots of posh..

is it just me, but face on, the grill looks BMW`ish ?

i don't like it, its all girly up front.
:D
i like to be with girlies up front..

oh stop it!....

its a soft approach to target those who drive girlie rangies,
the sort of plastic boobed type who have been pickled in tanning spray..
its defo not targeted for farmers is it,
with the expected price to be far far above mr averages pocket.

its a current trend in retro but modern take now going on for fenders with lowering kits and handling kits and super grippy tarmac tires,
its just a trend.

maybe back in 1948, british car makers saw a series 1 as a trend,
gave it no more thought,
until L R bit them in the ass!

trends? leastways, the "weird" nipponese offshoot car makers have not made a scaled series 3 look alike fitted on a micra chassis "yet"
as they`ve made old looking S type jags, rolls royces plus other look a likes all on micra chassis..

oh dear, what have I said now

Ugly beastie - and exactly what was inspired by the series 3 and not the defender?
