Hiclone Fuel Savers

Hi,
Has anyone any experience regarding the Hiclone Fuel Saver?
I"ve just received an email from Rimmers advertising this product costing £43.00 for the Freelander.
What I want to know is: Does it work and roughly what percentage in saving fuel can I get by fitting one?
Any ideas or thoughts.
I"ve also been reading the thread regarding 2 stroke oil so I reckon I"ll give that a try.

the best fuel save you'll get out of the Hiclone is to spend it's £43 cost in fuel

Don't waste your money on rubbish like Hiclone fuel savers as they save nothing!

back in the 60s we tried everything and nothing ever work the only thing to work was to take all the rubbish and all the spanners out of your boot .if you are on 2 wheels then get your head down

I put magic pebbles in my fool tank. You get instant savings next time yer fills up full of fool.

waste of ££££ for a td4/m47r ..

( where would you install it / them ? ..
( in an attempt to gain any benefit from air turbulence ..
( or .. would you gain anything by introducing turbulence prior to the intake manifold ?
( i doubt it ..

besides .. the td4/m47r already has one swirlpot inlet per cylinder

They do help the turbo though as the air is already spinning when it gets there so turbo has less work to do.
Air then spinning faster when it leaves the turbo and what you may not be aware of is that spinning air travels a lot faster than still air especially in a tube.
The denser spinning air then goes through the intercooler which unexpectedly stops the spinning so that when it exits the intercooler it spins again even faster so entering the inlet manifold as a veritable tornado.

Cleans the inlet valves as it passes as well.......all well documented

To be fair, still air doesn't travel at all

had a mate that bought one a while back,fitted it where he was told to, and the only difference it made was.......his wallet was lighter after paying for it !!!!! did no good

Here's a simple way to prove they don't work. They are not fitted as standard by manufacturers.If they do save fuel and have all the benefits they say they do then surely no car manufacturer could afford NOT to fit them as standard.

you would get more of an increase in MPG by having some ju-ju beads hanging from the rear view mirror....always parking the car facing the east and having the interior altered by a feng-shui expert..........
