Hiclone...Any good?????

I was at Newark on Saturday, got taking to a guy about these Hiclone things.
Has anyone got one fitted? Do they make a difference to performance etc?
They seem a bit pricey for such a simple device.

Assuming you mean the thing you put in your air intake. If you put anything in your air intake you will restrict the flow of air through it and your performance will be reduced. Can't believe anyone falls for it really.

if a simple thing that 'swirls' the air in the inlet manifold makes such a huge difference they why didnt the makers of the cars fit them as standard and add the cost to the ''new improved high perfomance engines'' ?

its a crock and a gimmick designed to swirl money out of your pocket.

Yes, I fell for it. Waste of time, didn't do anything. If you think about it, the turbo is going to swirl the air about more than any bit of bent metal. And as vivnap says, why don't the manufacturers fit them as standard?
