Hi all just got ride of my first landy 6 months ago. Missed it that much I'm looking for another and as im fairly new to landys wanted some advice.
My first was a 200 tdi truck cab. But always wanted a v8. Im after something to us at the weekends for green laning and the odd pay and play. Like I said would love a v8 but was worried about reliablity, especially if i was to do any wading at pay and plays. So wondered what you guys recommend?

Hi. I just want a v8 for the noise and the grunt tbh. But I thought they can be waterproofed so you can wade with them?

or you could avoid the water?

can agree on the v8 noise, but have you ever heard a td5 with a stainless? diesels can sound sweet too and are far easier to waterproof

Yer that's true. Id have to get a 200 or 300 tdi though. Cheaper and less electronics.
Get it on a side exit straight pipe.

I have a TD5 with a straight through eggsauce on and it sounds good to me. Havent got a video on here i dont think but i reckon you tube will.

Second that BGB's TD5 sounds cool with the straight thru. I went for a TDI as I am not a mechanic and wanted to be able to sort it out myself.

Yer cheers guy. Think its a 200 or 300 tdi. Whichever I can get my hands on for cheap enough. Straight pipe its defo getting and preferably a pick up.
