Dont be scared boys, tis a woman. Just sorting out my Defender 90 for my 4 month uk road trip starting end May. Off to Orkneys/Shetlands first then zig zagging to Cornwall focusing on open water swimming areas. If any one has a field or a large drive they would like to put me up in overnight, or can recommend Landy friendly campsites, my Oztent, my shotgun (shhh) :D and i would be extremely grateful.

Cheers. i will be passing your way(ish) via A9 and St Andrews (children) on the way up and then from Skye to Knockhill (Superbikes) on the way down/across. So will wave twice. Can you recommend an honest and good landrover mechanic around there in case something crops up? Trying to get a list going.
thanks
liz

Hi, welcome and the best of luck with your trip, it sounds like somethink I should do one day as we have a lot of beautiful countryside on our island and I should combine my love of driving and the countryside and visit more of it, anyway I hope you have breakdown cover as I suspect you may well need it!:):):)

Thanks for the advice so far. Am finding my way around here. the expedition thread is useful, even though Im not off into deepest darkest Africa ( did that for four whole years!) this time.
As for the questions, well, my toolbox is just the right size thank you and yes I have power tools, though I prefer manual.:lvlove-158:
