Hi there

Hi .im a newbie to the land rover scene,im looking for advice.I may be buying a disco 3.9 1995 which is very clean,low miles and never welded.but theres a noise coming from nearside head /top end ,owner has changed manifold gaskets which was thought to be the problem its intermitant not a heavy sound a sort of chirpy blowing noise [hard to explain in words!]or could it a valve?. Has anybody come across something like this or any ideas.Any help would be appeciated as it will help in deciding wether to buy or not,thanks Andy

If its never been Welded there is a 90% chance it will need to be

if so is it a diy job? would head have to be skimmed
