I own a second hand 03 FL td4 5dr manual. Bought it with 130.000 Km two years ago and now its just about to make 150.000 Km. I love this car. Never had major problems so far. I have only replaced brake pads and tyres.
It does gives me some headaches, but with patience and the help of the LZ community I have been able to find the solutions. Most of the times DIY and when I go to the mech I already know what he needs to do.
LR Official Service could be better. Its all about selling parts and the man-hours. Huge bills. And sometimes the problem isn't even fixed.
Before knowing LZ, I had a problem with my FL. No power on 3rd nor 4rd gears. The dealer just told me: "thats a sh**y car to problems, an other lady has one like yours here with the same symptoms for the last 3 months; we dont know when your car is going to be fixed". I just left that place and went to my chinese mech friend, and asked him to check the turbo air in-take. In less than 30 minutes my problem was solved and didnt cost me nothing. A tiny little hose below the engine was disconected.
