To all of you out there that have your hi lift jack mounted at the back of your 90, (and those with general knowledge of these things).
What fitting kit did you go for? Important that it is strong and as secure
as can be. I have to park on the main road outside my house. Looked at randc items at £20 odd and HD at £30 odd. Any opinions welcome :)

I have mine mounted on the spare wheel. I don't leave it there due to too many thieving sods around. It stays inside unless I have a full boot or I'm going offroading.

I kept my eyes open for you Griff but din't see you or yer landy.

I was a bit dissapointed with the show tbh. I wuz hoping to pick up a winch PTO shaft. I saw one overdrive but that was it. No other PTO's or parts.

Tools were cheap. I picked up a few bits and pieces to replace the snap-on stuff in my truck but things like chequerplate and sliders etc were no cheaper than getting them online. I was extremely dissapointed with the offroad course and the way it was run. I didn't see a single vehicle go around without sustaining some sort of damage.

I went in the wifes Golf :D dont trust the pikeys that attend LR shows! Widget came down with me to. I know what you mean about disapointing. I however knew it was going to be **** so was not surprised!

I summed the show up like this...

If you own a series - score, lots of bits, vehicles and general stuff to buy/look at. worth going if your within a 30mile radius.

If you own a later defender/disco 1/P38 or RRC - Not much going on really, bits and bobs you may need, some panels but not alot. probably not worth going.

If you own a newer defender or anything else not mentioned above no point in going at all!

watched the course, looked a bit harsh in places, but i thought that were the drivers not the course  didnt watch for long. Had a pint, bought some bits for the lightweight and went home.

Ah, thanx spuddog.
This is the position I want to mount it and, and, obviously the type of fitting kit I`m looking for.
Where are these available from?
2nd hand, good condition one is fine also, if anyone has one for sale.

Mines stored behind the front seats in the 90 total cost about £2 consists of 4 large washers 2no 4"x M8 bolts 6 no M8 nuts

and hey presto. Safe secure and out of the way.
