Hi everyone, Just purchased a Freelander 1998 1.8 XEi :)

Unfortunateley, after getting new MOT, Tyres, Brakes, Bushes etc. & big bill. I have discovered that the '3 amigos' are also present.

I only found this out when I got a handbook and whilst reading it from cover to cover, yes sad I know, I found that these lights should come on with the ignition and then go off. On further investigation I have found that the bulbs have been removed:mad:, by a previous owner. I have replaced the bulbs, as I would rather know about a fault.

Now come the hard part of correctly diagnosing the fault. I have replaced the brake light switch, but to no avail, so any ideas what's next?

If it's the ABS it's normally a sensor. It should come on and then go off. If it comes on again when stationary, it's probably a sensor. Could be other things, but you need to start somewhere. The SRS, will probably need a re-set, could be an air bag or seat may have been removed without disconnecting the battery first.
