Hi I am new to this site and looking for someone to give me some advise please.
I live in the Highlands on the West coast of Scotland.
I own a Landrover Defender 90 TDI, which I love to bits.
She may be old but she has been good to me.
I know my way around an engine through tinkering and I've changed the water pump, and van belt, serviced her myself when the need arises.
So I'm not scared to get stuck in and dirty.
Anyayto my problem:- The front wipers were working intermitantly, for a short while now they have given up the ghost in the centre of my window screen and will not budge.
I've been told that they could have ceased and that I need to remove the arm from the motor and give it a shuckle?
Well I know where the motor is and I have loosened the top nut as suggested but how do I give the arm a shuckle?
as it still appears to be attached to the motor internally.
Do I have to undo the two small nuts on the back of the motor where the arm goes in, to release it?
Also the front washer jet stopped working so I swapped the rear one on to the front and the jet now works on the front.
I change the 5Amp fuse as well just to be sure it was not broken but still no action.
Scotland is known for it's rain so until I get this fixed I'm on shanks's pony so to speak, where I live in the wilds it's a mile up a dirt track before I get to a main road.
So any help would be better than walking.
Look forward to hearing from you.
