Hi I'm new to landys, this site and my clutch won't move

I have a 1997 90 defender tdi. The clutch was fine and then I had to flick the pedal up during a gear change and on the next gear change I could not depress it and had to towed home by a sympathetic landrover enthusiast. anyone else had this problem or could direct me with some basis self diagnostics before I have to call a mechanic.

at a guess the clutch forks punched thru on its pivot.
gearbox out job unfortunately.
