Hi, I'm new on here.

So yesterday, still being not sure how much oil was in my engine, I drove to town about 15 miles. Got to tesco and noticed oil pouring out of the engine....sh*t!! Drove to the nearest garage where they discovered that the plug on the rocker cover? had blown...How much trouble am I in? :(
Hey gurl and welcome :) - I'm certainly not the best person on here to answer your Q - post your queries here https://www.landyzone.co.uk/forum/defender-90-110-130.7/ and they will be seen by hundreds of good people.
I've recently had my rocker box seal replaced as it was leaking. It's good to keep an eye on these things.
RE: checking oil - as others have said, park somewhere level; let the engine cool; get an old towel or dry, lint free cloth; pull out the dipstick; clean it off; put it back in carefully as far as it goes and without wanging it around on the sides; pull it back out carefully again and have a look. I usually repeat process 2 or 3 times to make sure i'm getting an accurate reading.
Good luck :)
