Hi Gents

Thought I would start by introducing myself.. Im Jack from Guernsey. This is the third defender 90 I have owned and my 5th Land Rover.

I have a issue with this one though. The car is lowered 2" on Bilstein springs and dampners and has 18" Nemesis wheels. On the rear passenger side the wheel sticks out just over an inch more than the drivers side and on the front it is the opposite, the drivers side sticks out almost an inch more than the passenger side. The car has never been in an accident and as far as i know it hasnt even had a knock to a wheel as the car doesnt even go off road... Any suggestions? its really starting to bug me.

Thanks in advance.

Hi, if you take the wheels off and look at the offset stamped inside the wheels you will probably find that there are two sets of different offsets, I had this with a set of Audi copy alloys, the guy I bought the car off had obviously not realised and rotated the rims
Hope that makes sense
Paul

front axle is located side ways by the panhard rod if you lift vehicle compared to the axle axle moves to the drivers side if you lower it axle moves to the passenger side, adjustable panhard rods are available

Thanks Paul, I did get in tough with LRI and ask them if they had different ET front to rear and they said no, However I will try switching them around tomorrow. As James said with the panhard on the front there is a chance the front is out but seems strange for the rear to be out.

I will be looking at mine tomorrow, see how mine sits, I know what Jame's means when lifting the front axle, could it be bushes on rear axle?

Quite possibly as its a hard ride with the Bilsteins and I have never changed the bushes so would guess that they are the stock ones from new so 8 years old. If you could measure tomorrow and let me know I would really appreciate that.

Trouble is, mine is an 18yo 110 on Terrafirma HD +2" springs and pro Sport shocks, so I am expecting mine to be out

All my wheels are the same offset. I measured from inside the rear spring mounts to the hub and the passenger side is just over a inch further out. God knows what is causing this as everything looks straight and where it should be. Unless the drivers side has been pushed in, is this possible though?
