hi everyone,

Just joined as I've just bought a p38 4.6 out here in Dubai was originally ordered.by the md of the Land Rover agency out here so has every option and every peice of wood you could have! very low KLM's (127) with full history, autobiography spec, lots of wood, java black, light stone leather. Tons of service history. Owned by British expats all its life and was very cheap to buy

Trim is a pain to get here and I'm searching for the door sill covers if anyone has any uncracked ones

And I'm looking for advice on the clicking from the dash ( not looking forward to that)

The aircon works perfectly, however the book and exclamation mark come up after the last click......

Look forward to chatting to you all

Thanks

Lee

hi there, nice bus..
clicking could be jammed heater control units maybe?
there's is a lot of jiggery pokery under there!!
post this in the RR' section. Good luck.

quick fix, there's an expression.
would be best to dive in and confirm before putting your hand in your pockets! There are plenty of second hand units available.
could be jammed up with dust. Cabin filters left to rot and not changed could be a place to start looking. Bonnet up, just under the windscreen, far left and far right are two little caps with a screw in each end. Simple Philips screwdriver, five minute job.
if their grotty. You could just need a clean up. Plenty of info on here to give more avenues to explore.
get stuck in!!

Much appreciated mark! Off into the hot basement parking I go!

Well.... that was easy..... pulled the filters out.... despite them being changed 2 months ago ( doubtful)

They looked like this! Changed them..... and the book and exclamation mark hasn't returned..... or the clicking! Superb end to my day!

Thanks for the pointer mark!

Welcome to Landyzone Lee, what a fine looking vehicle. I suspect that you will get lots of sand in your air filter which will undoubtedly require changing more frequently
To be fair I changed it today, and it wasn't so bad as it goes! I expected much more then I found! The biggest problem here is parts Alan, what few p38s here that are still running are mainly knackered,no one sticks the parts anymore, and the few cars you do find in the desert or up side streets have been hammered by the sun, my car stayed Ina. Basement all of its life so it's immaculate a few more pics attached I think it had every wood extra in the autobiography catalogue!

Yes it's magnificent and makes me very envious. I'm sure that you will be able to import day to day consumables from the UK, but bigger components might be expensive. Look after her/him :). :)

Wouldn't be too taken in with Lee Alexandre's boasts, he has a track record of making things up. These are links to the court case papers and several newspaper articles about his court case and sentencing. Makes interesting reading, some good photos too.
