Hi there folks.

Just got myself an old m reg 300tdi discovery for some off road fun :), it has a good spec to get started with so gave it a good going over yesterday to see what it was like under the bonnet. fitted new belts, filters and lift pump all genuine land rover parts and just waiting on a new water pump and thermostat.

I am new to land rovers but been in the motor trade 15 years so working on them is not a problem just going to look in to getting a winch and bumper so if anyone can give me an idea whats the best to buy .

Is there many areas to use the land rovers near you ? I have seen a place near helensburgh that i mite take a trip to. Not wanting to kill it off road just a mess about

There is a place in Ayrshire and there is a place in Helensburgh. There is also a place near East kilbride. I never kept track 'cos I just got back into LAnd rovers this year after a long illness. I don't know if these places are still going.

I hoping to meet some folk next year.

I wouldn't mind finding these places too. I know of drumclog in ayrshire but somewhere closer to home would be great
