Hi from Liverpool...... On the brink of buying 1st L322

Hello to you guys!!!

Found the forum at the weekend and been using it to gather as much info as poss on the L322.... I'm buying a car next month no matter what, and I really really want one (between 02/54 plate), but the gearbox horror stories are keeping me on the fence!

Can I ask, in all honesty to anyone who knows...... How bad is the box, really???

I mean, it seems as though from what I'm reading that no matter how good of a condition the car is in, the box is just a ticking time bomb...!

As for the box, on the diesel it is not if but when...it can be delayed with good maintenance and servicing, but it will eventually get to a point of needing attention.

The Petrol Boxes are much better, and aslong as they are serviced, and never left to develop issues and it is all maintained - they are not so much of an issue as the Diesel Boxes.
