Hi guys I have just purchased a really clean 2003 TD4 5 door today from auction, I took a big gamble as its a finance snatchback, I only paid £2800 at the fall of the hammer and I am really over the moon with it, no paperwork came with it so not sure of the model but 2.0 4 KHR is mentioned on the receipt.

Spec is fantastic silver metallic paint with only one small blemish, alloys, electric sunroof / windows etc, aircon, cd system under the seat, leather upholstery, roof bars, automatic box and its drives fanatstic with 102,000 on the clock. Only problem is the wait for the DVLA to sort the V5 for me which apparently can take 4 weeks or more, so for now I can only polish it and look at it.

(I borrowed trade plates to get it home)

Was that a good price? As this is my first Landrover and I went to buy a Mondeo????

Sounds like a good buy at that. KHR Possibly short for Kalahari special edition. Remember, first thing to do is change the crankcase breather filter asap. Good luck

Hi I think you are correct about the model being a Kalahari as there is one identicle on Ebay.

I am just finding my way around the board here and dont have a clue really about Freelanders? As I said I went out to buy a Mondeo and my Freelander just seemed to good an oppotunity to miss at that price.

I am going to buy the parts to give it a good service and will take your advice on replacing the breather filter.

Got my log book today................ Very big grin on my chops............
So I can now get my TD4 on the road for the 1st Sept.

I have polished it to bits over the last 3 weeks, a nice new stainless spare wheel cover came today and it looks fanatstic. I also bought a black leather arm rest on ebay, so can I join the club Ming???

Welcome to the Freelander ranks, though we're thinking of changing the name to Fearlander cause of all the pussies out there that are terrified of them. Let us know how you get on with yer motor.
